Jodi Pugh - Sarpy Community YMCA Jodi is an AAFA certified personal trainer and also holds Mad Dogg Athletics certificates for Spinning and Pilates instruction. Always an active person, she taught aerobics at age 15 before the fitness industry required certificates to teach fitness classes. She was a member of the Oklahoma State Dance team and mentored her teammates on the importance of exercising and eating right. Jodi holds a degree in Elementary Education and taught school for 7 years until she had her first of two boys, becoming a stay-at-home mom. Since then she has pursued her passion of educating and mentoring people towards healthy lifestyles. She stays involved in fitness continuing education courses to keep pace with the latest techniques to pass on to clients.
Cheryl Schaeffer, BS, HFS - Sarpy Community YMCA Cheryl is a certified personal trainer at the Sarpy Community YMCA. She has been in the fitness industry for over ten years. Cheryl holds a degree in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska in Omaha and is a certified Health/Fitness Specialist (HFS) through the American College of Sports Medicine. Her mission is to help people of all ages to accomplish their personal fitness and/or wellness goals.
Kristina Lemcke - Sarpy Community YMCA Kristina is a student of Vatterott College with a major of personal training. She comes with 300 hours of experience training various types of individuals. Throughout her personal fitness training career she has won awards of Client of the Phase, Perfect Attendance, and Dean’s List. She believes everyone has goals and dreams and would love an opportunity to change lives, health, overall happiness and satisfaction.
Corie Hansen – Maple Street YMCA Corie Hansen has first-hand experience with juggling her family, personal life and professional obligations with a commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Since joining the Maple Street YMCA in 2002, she has lost 40 pounds and continues to stay healthy by participating in YMCA programs such as Boot Camp, 100-mile swim club, and group fitness classes. As a regular participant of our Family Fitness program, Corie was recruited to become a YMCA employee in 2007 to coordinate and instruct this program. She played an extremely important role guiding children and parents to making healthier food choices and encouraging them to become more physically active. She continued this challenge as an instructor of our Youth Fitness class as well. In 2009 Corie become a certified Body Pump instructor and has recently obtained national certification as an AFAA Personal Trainer. She is currently assisting with the Maple Street YMCA summer Boot Camp program and Running Group. Corie is married and has 3 children. She has a tremendous heart for all people and LOVES sharing with others, ways to enjoy eating and cooking in a healthy way. When she’s not spending time with her family or at the YMCA, she loves cooking, baking, gardening, and canning. A big accomplishment for Corie is that she has completed the Papillion Mayor’s Triathlon (sprint distance) not just once- but twice! She is looking forward to supporting and encouraging her team throughout this life-changing program!
Blaine Luebbert – Southwest YMCA Blaine was a participant in the very first Shape Up Program in 2008. During that 12 weeks she lost 50 pounds! She continued her journey of weight loss with small group training, where she lost 40 more pounds! Since then, Blaine has become a wellness staff for the Southwest Y, and then got her NETA personal trainer certification and has been leading the Southwest Shape Up team since September of 2008. Blaine loves helping people change their eating and motiviating them to become active like she has done. Blaine recently just ran the Lincoln half marathon and now does many runs. Amber Benda, MA, CPT- Armbrust YMCA Amber is a certified personal trainer, group exercise instructor and the Fitness Director at the Armbrust YMCA. She is originally from Topeka, Kansas and moved to Omaha to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she received her Bachelors degree in Exercise Science and Masters degree in Health Promotion. Amber has helped many individuals lose weight through exercise and nutrition. She has a strong passion for fitness and wellness and loves to share information with others. Amber is a great motivator and can’t wait to help you get to your weight loss goals.
Kierstin Hansen, CPT- Armbrust YMCA Kierstin is a certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor at the Armbrust YMCA. She has her personal training certification through NETA and also holds certifications through Cross Fit and Nutrition and Running. Kierstin has always been active and feels that exercise is important because it keeps her stronger physically, emotionally and spiritually. She is a great trainer that will give you the tools, encouragement and motivation you need to be successful. |
